Classes
Upcoming classes:
We're happy to announce an upcoming Spring class at Cabrillo College in Santa Cruz County.
On Saturday, May 19th, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, we'll offer a course we developed last year (because so many people requested it): "Starting a Nonprofit: The Paperwork." In this class we'll concentrate on creating a strong IRS tax-exemption application that will increase your chances of getting IRS approval. We'll also look at how to generate correct Articles of Incorporation and other documents that are part of the start-up process.
Information and registration can be found at the following link:

What are our classes about?
Non Profit World owner Josh Wagner regularly teaches courses throughout Northern California on the non profit start-up process.
Where are they taught?
Venues include Cabrillo College (Santa Cruz), the California Institute of Integral Studies (S.F.), and the Nonprofit Resource Center (Sacramento).
What's in them?
Josh's classes are packed with detailed, helpful information about non profit start-up, advantages and restrictions of non profits, and fiscal sponsorship as an alternative. There's always plenty of time for questions, and the classes include a 45-page workbook that Josh has developed during 20 years of teaching.
Are they well received?
A woman who attended the October 2010 Sacramento class sent an email saying, "Thank you for the wonderful seminar." And another wrote, "I really appreciate the time you've taken to answer my questions."
A participant in the October 2010 2-part workshop series at the California Institute of Integral Studies called Josh "an excellent and entertaining instructor."
And another student wrote,
"I attended your seminar on Starting Your Own Non Profit in April [2010] at Cabrillo College, which I found extremely helpful in the process that is now well underway. Thanks a lot for all your help. You've made this process run very smoothly for me."
